Clovis Rodeo 2026: Dates, Night Shows, Concerts & Everything You Need to Know
One of California's biggest rodeos is right here in the 559 — complete guide to the night performances, concerts, tickets, and what to do after
The Clovis Rodeo isn't just a Central Valley tradition — it's one of the largest and most respected outdoor rodeos in California, drawing over 50,000 fans each April to the 559. The 112th Annual Clovis Rodeo runs April 22–26, 2026 at the Clovis Rodeo Grounds on Rodeo Drive. Here's everything you need to know: dates, times, the concert lineup, tickets, and where to go when the lights go down.
What Is the Clovis Rodeo?
Started in 1914, the Clovis Rodeo is over 110 years old and a fully sanctioned Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) event. It draws some of the top competitors in the country across every major rodeo discipline — and it consistently ranks among the premier rodeos on the West Coast.
The numbers put it in perspective: 550 cowboys, 70 cowgirls, 50 mutton busters, 746 animal athletes, and more than 8,500 pounds of tri-tip served across five days. It is a genuine Central Valley institution and one of those events that people who go once make into an annual tradition.

Parking
West parking lot (off Clovis Avenue) is free. This is the main lot and where most people park. Arrive 45–60 minutes before show time on Friday and Saturday — traffic gets heavy and the walk from overflow areas adds time.
Pre-Rodeo: Ranch Rodeo — April 11
Two weeks before the main event, the Clovis Ranch Rodeo takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the same Clovis Rodeo Grounds. It's a sanctioned Western States Ranch Rodeo Association (WSRRA) event and considered one of the top ranch rodeos in California. If you want a taste of authentic working-ranch competition before the PRCA spectacle, this is worth checking out.
After the Rodeo — Where to Go in Old Town Clovis
Night performances wrap around 9:00–9:30 PM, and Old Town Clovis is less than a mile from the rodeo grounds. Here's where the crowd heads:
The Local Kitchen & Cocktails Clovis Avenue, Old Town Clovis Family-owned for over 25 years, The Local is the consistent anchor of Old Town Clovis after dark. Farm-to-table California cuisine, craft cocktails made with fresh ingredients, and a warm open-air patio that handles the rodeo crowd without losing its character. If you're doing dinner before the show, this is the move.
Goldfield Brewing Company — Old Town Clovis Craft beer in Old Town, relaxed patio, and exactly the right energy for post-rodeo. Their taproom fills with a mix of locals and visitors on rodeo weekend — it's a good scene.
Iron Bird Brewing — Clovis Another solid Clovis craft brewery. Low-key vibe, quality pours, and the kind of place where you can actually have a conversation after two hours in the arena.

Planning Your Clovis Rodeo Weekend
Best two-day combination:
Friday night: Gates open 5:00 PM · 6:00 PM show with Shane Profitt concert after · Post-rodeo bar crawl in Old Town Clovis
Saturday: 2:00 PM matinee · Salute to Our Veterans Day · Old Town Clovis for dinner after the show
If you want the full experience in one night, Thursday's Josh Ross show is the sweet spot — full PRCA competition, a standout concert, and a mid-week crowd that's energized but not at peak Saturday volume.
The 559's Biggest Western Weekend
The Clovis Rodeo is the kind of event that makes the Central Valley feel like exactly what it is: one of the most authentically Western parts of California. No theme park version of rodeo — just world-class competitors, 50,000 fans who actually know the sport, and five nights of after-dark programming under the lights at 748 Rodeo Drive.
