This Weekend in the 559: ABBA Tributes, Luke Bryan, Monster Trucks & More (May 14–17)

The 559 doesn't slow down for anyone. This weekend — May 14 through 17 — the Central Valley has more live music, outdoor festivals, MMA fights, monster trucks, and late-night options than most cities three times its size. Whether you're looking for something free, something fancy, or something that goes until 2 AM, the answer is here. Lock in your plans before seats disappear.

★ Editor's Picks — Don't Miss These

  • ABBA Tribute: The Lingonberries — Free, outdoors, genuinely one of a kind. This is what the 559 does that nowhere else does.
  • Candlelight: Joe Hisaishi — Studio Ghibli music by candlelight. If you have anyone in your life who loves Spirited Away or My Neighbor Totoro, this is the date.
  • Mark Farina @ Barrio Bebop — A legitimate underground legend, in Fresno, on a Saturday at 5 PM. House music people don't miss this one.
  • Banda Machos — Tulare — Outdoor amphitheater, regional Mexican legends, Saturday night energy. One of the biggest shows of the whole weekend.
